William R. Benton, CPA, MBA
William R. Benton, CPA, is the Partner In Charge of our Sebring office. Bill provides accounting and taxation services to private industry clients, nonprofit organizations, individuals, trusts and estates. Bill oversees the Sebring offiice tax department and serves on several firm committees focused on improving processes and productivity.
Education and Activities
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida in 1991 and his Masters in Business Administration from Webber College in 2000. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Bill is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Bill is very involved in his community and currently serves or has served as:
- Deacon and Treasurer, Sebring Parkway Church of Christ
- Board Chairman and Board Member, Highlands County Advisory Board to the United Way of Central Florida
- Campaign Chairman, United Way of Central Florida – Highlands County Division
- President and Board Member, Scholarship Recognition, Inc.
- Board Member, Florida Hospital Foundation, Inc.
- Past President and Board Member, Sebring Noon Rotary
- Steering Committee Member, Leadership Highlands
Bill is also a graduate of Leadership Highlands.
Relevant Experience
Bill has 19 years in the public accounting profession providing accounting, tax, audit, and business consulting services. He has extensive experience in tax matters including tax, estate and succession planning and representation before the Internal Revenue Service. Bill’s business background is well suited to advising and assisting clients in many different business areas, helping them to look for opportunities and achieve financial success.
Bill is the partner-in-charge of the Sebring Office and oversees the tax team there. He provides client services to a broad base of clients and has considerable expertise in the agricultural and medical services fields.
