John H. Gray, Jr., CPA
John H. Gray, Jr., CPA, is the firm’s Managing Partner and Partner In Charge of our Winter Haven office. Jay has more than twenty years of public accounting experience providing corporate, individual, and fiduciary tax services, as well as accounting, auditing and consulting services in a variety of industries. Jay serves a broad client base that includes local governments, financial institutions, privately owned businesses, and their owners.
Education and Activities
Jay earned his BSBA in accounting from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1983 and passed the CPA exam that same year. Jay was commissioned an ensign in the United States Navy upon graduation and served in active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer until 1988. Jay was honorably discharged from the Naval Reserve with the rank Lieutenant Commander. In 1988 Jay was hired by The NCT Group as a staff accountant. In 1992 he became a partner with NCT.
Jay is a Florida and North Carolina Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Public Accountants.
Jay currently serves on the Boards of Directors for:

- Polk Community College Foundation
- Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce Foundation
- Florida Presbyterian Homes
- Main Street Winter Haven
Jay is also a graduate of Leadership Winter Haven and a participant in Leadership Polk.
