Walker D. Wilkerson, CPA, MBA
Walker D. Wilkerson, CPA, MBA, is the firm wide audit partner and works from our Lakeland office. Walker has extensive experience providing consulting, accounting and attestation services to governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, private industry and individuals. In addition, Walker oversees the firm’s attestation processes and initiatives to increase efficiency.
Education and Activities
Walker earned his BSBA degree from the Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina in 1991. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Florida Southern College in 1993.
Walker has served as an adjunct professor at Florida Southern College and has taught a variety of accounting courses. Walker is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He is active in the community and has served or currently serves as:
- Past Chairman, Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center Board
- Treasurer, Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce
- Chairman, Citizen CPR Board
- Past Chairman, ACE Charter Schools Board
- Board member of the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland
Walker is a graduate of the Leadership Lakeland program.
Relevant Experience
Walker has 18 years experience in the public accounting profession providing consulting, auditing and tax services. He has been the partner for several financial and compliance audits, including nonprofit corporations, housing authorities, county and local governments, and a college, all of which receive grants and contracts from federal and state agencies.
