Cynthia D. Baker, CPA
Cynthia D. Baker, CPA, is an audit partner in our Winter Haven office. Cindy has over 20 years of accounting and auditing experience. She has provided these services to a variety of governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, and other industries. Cindy is responsible for the attestation services provided from the Winter Haven office.
Education and Activities
Cindy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College, Lakeland, Florida in 1992 and is a Florida Certified Public Accountant.
Cindy is a member of the American and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Cindy is active in her community and currently serves or has served as:
- Officer of the Polk Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants
- Member of the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce
- Team Member for the American Cancer Society Walk-a-thon.
Cindy is a graduate of the Leadership Winter Haven program.
Relevant Experience
Cindy has 12 years in the public accounting profession providing accounting, auditing and consulting services.
Cindy has an additional 10 years of private industry accounting and management experience. Cindy has served as Chief Accountant for a large local construction company where she handled all accounting functions on a daily basis. In addition, Cindy worked in the health care industry and developed the department to analyze significant issues related to denial of claims and billing and assisted in the budgeting process for a component of a local hospital. These experiences combine to give Cindy a unique insight into the auditing process.
